The Books I Read in 2024

At the beginning of 2024, one of my goals for the year was to continue a consistent + conscious shift in my focus around the content I consume - shifting from nighttime scrolling to pages read in order to enrich my life in mind + body. And while I’m absolutely no saint yet this practice, I have made a very conscious effort to read more regardless of the time of day or night. Books for me are therapeutic, they hold the mot amazing tales, imparting meaningful new perspectives on all kinds, moving us beyond being simply informed + bringing a new transformed way of being.

Below is my list from 2024 of everything I read, most in physical form + some I listened to on Audible. I don’t normally share this part as I feel each person’s personal preference is so different but my top three this year were by far, A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne, + Walk Through Walls by Marina Abramović.

What did you read + love this year? I’d love to hear..

The Books I Read in 2023

I’ve always been a big reader but in recent years I’d been fighting with myself to make it part of my world in the way it had once been so naturally the centre of my personal time. So my goal this past year was to read more books than I had done in 2022. A simple aim yet without the massively unrealistic internal strain I tend to put on myself around goals. And guess what? it worked. Without that massive pressure I made it happen by choosing to read instead of watching TV in the evenings (although I am definitely not admitting here that TV was not a part of our Winter evenings). And it’s been such a joy today to look back on what I read this year. So in no particular order of reading or most enjoyed, below is my 2023 book list..
