Located in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, at the end of Via Montenapoleone, Armani Hotel, Milano is one of the city’s most iconic and symbolic destinations. Utterly characteristic of an Armani lived life, its light sandy hues and minimalistic design anchors it among the world’s most luxurious hotels.
There’s an unspoken but distinctly evident understanding that it’s a passion project of Mr. Armani’s himself. A personal extension of his visionary aesthetic and understanding of style. Having overseen everything in person, it is in his acute attention to detail that this hotel sets itself that step ahead and notch above the rest. Boutique in nature with just 95 bedrooms, the interiors are sleek and elegantly contemporary. Tones of cream, beige, white and sand win through at every touch while leather-lined walls and mother-of-pearl doors play centre-stage to the chicly designed accents cleverly placed throughout the hotel.
Set in a building that dates back to the 1930’s, it emulates the rationalist architecture that personified Italy at the time. Upon arrival guests are swept up to the seventh floor where the lobby permits entry to the hotel’s Armani Bamboo Bar and Armani Restaurant. Bedrooms are housed on floors two to six from which access is granted through private lifts from the lobby itself. The rooms are just as minimalist and elegantly understated as an Armani dream. Ordered space, an essential aspect, TV’s are hidden behind sliding panels and drawers and wardrobes recess into the walls. When done right, minimalism is a unique craft that few master in the superbly classic yet charming way Mr. Armani does.
Located at the top floor of the building is the spa which includes a sauna, steam room, hammam and six private treatment rooms.
Whether staying the night or on a fanciful visit, Armani Hotel, Milano is and always will be a Milan must.
