Designer Spotlight; Rue Sophie

Speaking to the contemporary woman’s desire for both ease + refinement in her everyday wardrobe, Los Angeles-based label Rue Sophie is redefining accessible luxury with an effortless, understated aesthetic that brings to life the essence of quite luxe. Born from its predecessor, Sophie Rue, the brand has been reimagined under the creative direction of it’s founder + creative director Sabina Vilusic, who’s vision to present a wardrobe of considered essentials designed to move with you — fluid, adaptable, + forever timeless in everyday.

At the heart of Rue Sophie is a commitment to the beauty housed in quiet luxury. Their debut collection back in Spring ‘24 cemented the new direction of the label’s rebrand firmly in the market as one of the leading design houses that delivers quality pieces + collections that draw on the heart strings of fashion lovers yet that don’t break the bank, The Row style. Stripping fashion back to its essence, focusing on sleek silhouettes, premium fabrics, + a refined neutral palette that exudes sophistication without excess, Rue Sophie has a philosophy rooted in versatility. Each piece is designed to transition seamlessly — whether it’s a soft draped knit, a perfectly structured blazer, or an effortless slip dress, the collections are as practical as they are polished.

The brand’s inaugural collection + each since perfectly encapsulate this ethos, offering a fresh take on minimalism with thoughtful tailoring + refined details that elevate the everyday. It’s fashion that doesn’t demand attention but commands it in the most effortless way — elegant, directional, + undeniably wearable.

With its growing presence at retailers like Nordstrom + REVOLVE, Rue Sophie is cementing itself as a go-to for women who value style without compromise. This is modern luxury at its most intelligent: intentional minimalism — curated so as to exude grace, strength, + a quiet confidence.

Designer Spotlight; LADÉGA

StyleRebecca O'ByrneComment

LADÉGA is the kind of brand that makes you pause. In a world that constantly demands more from every direction — more noise, more trends, more unnecessary things — LADÉGA strips it all back to what truly matters in style: craftsmanship, integrity, + timeless design. Every piece is an exercise in restraint — refined, intentional, + made to be worn with ease + purpose.

Founded in 2024 by Tumisola Ladega-Hewitt, whose experience spans over a decade in luxury fashion at houses like Burberry + Ralph & Russo, LADÉGA is built on a foundation of slow fashion. Instead of chasing the fleeting, the focus is on purpose + longevity while the label releases no more than 12 designs a year. This level of discipline is rare in fashion — every piece is so carefully considered, ensuring it holds value beyond a season. By working primarily with deadstock fabrics from high-end fashion houses + operating on a made-to-order model, LADÉGA prioritises sustainability over mass production, rejecting the wastefulness that has become the industry norm.

What is so alluring the brand’s ability to create pieces that feels both quietly powerful + effortlessly elegant. Each silhouette envelops the body in a way that feels protective yet never overwhelming — like a perfectly tailored secret, softly cocooning without hiding. The contrast within Collection One speaks to me: the balance of light + dark, soft yet structured, all minimally bold. Each is like an extension of the wearer, not just a piece of clothing but a statement of quiet confidence.

But beyond the fabric + form, LADÉGA carries a deeper philosophy — one of grace. Inspired by the idea of being covered but not hidden, it speaks to women who value elegance without excess, who understand that true style doesn’t shout; it lingers, it whispers, it stays. LADÉGA doesn’t try to sell you on abundance; instead, it offers something unique in fashion — a true sense of consideration. In a time where consumption is constant, they remind us that the best things take time + can be cherished for a lifetime. If you’re looking for style with soul, you’ll find it here at LADÉGA.

The Jumpsuit Edit

StyleRebecca O'ByrneComment

Jumpsuits, no matter the day or reason, are always a good idea. Whether you’re dressing up for a hot date night or simply running errands on the weekend, the magic of the one piece wonder is definitely something that will up your game in the style department. It’s all about versatility and scope though when deciding to purchase, considering how you can dress it up or down is always an important factor when investing in your next purchase. I always look at new pieces in a way of how many ways I can wear it, so take a blazer - can I wear it by day or by night or perhaps a summer dress, can I wear it with heels and then translate it into a day time piece with my flats? It adds immense value to your wardrobe, not to mention the benefits of a streamlined style and way of living. A jumpsuit is no different; here are 5 of my current favorites styled 5 different ways.
