Dine at Roberta's, Dublin

Dublin’s hottest new restaurant, Roberta’s, is undoubtedly one of the city’s most stylised eateries.  Situated in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar the newest addition to the Press Up portfolio is perhaps their strongest creation to date.

Roberta’s is New York meets Italy. But in Dublin. Kind of and perhaps akin to a contemporary version of New York’s Balthazar or Duck & Waffle of London, upon first impressions it’s irrefutably got that similar slick AF vibe. While an entirely blacked out facade greets guests with nothing but a little neon sign telling you telling you you’ve arrived, it’s in the ascending the stairs that realises the reality that you’re in for a stylish experience.

It’s an impressively large space with a warehouse vibe as bright as it is boldly beautiful. Built around the free-standing bar which sits directly under the buildings glass roof, the restaurant is a magnificent collection of varying seated situations, each of which bring their own sophisticated style to the table. Half-moon booths and plush teal blue bucket chairs, touched with black leathers and exposed brick walls lend themselves to the art deco touch that is brought to light with collections of stunningly placed and carefully chosen bare bulb lighting. Floor to ceiling glass, alongside the glass atrium create the perfect spot for brightly lit summer night while incredible views are on hand as one side of the building overlooks the River Liffey.

On the food front, it’s a delectable selection and there is, quite sincerely, something for everyone. Led by Head Chef, Troy Watson, the menu lends itself to the best of Italy while adding an ample amount of Irish influence. With an important focus on the sourcing of local ingredients, Watson has curated a unique offering. From starters including Yellowtail Amberjack - the perfect sashimi starter - and the most delicious Wood-fired Duck Hearts to a perfectly curated selection of mains - most popularly the Linguine with clams and Organic Chicken. Wood fired pizzas are another option - of which the Stracciatella & Parma Ham or Skeganhore Duck are a perfect pairing for a pizza night made in heaven.

Cocktails are a forte - try the Pear Sidecar and Litter Stunner, just two from the deliciously exotic selection of thirst quenching delights on hand to enjoy while sitting in the spacious outdoor terrace. Weekends see guest DJs turn things up a notch or two and create the perfect setting to dance the night away under the stars.

So after just a short (and sometimes decidedly brave) stroll through the cobbled-stone streets of Temple Bar, you can be sure to find a blissful haven at Roberta’s.
